Dental Exams & Cleanings

The simplest way to protect your smile, avoid surprises, and save money over time.

  • 5-star patient reviews
  • Accepting new patients
  • Most insurance accepted
  • CareCredit financing

A regular cleaning and exam is the single most valuable appointment on your dental calendar. It is where small issues get caught before they become root canals, and where your teeth get the deep clean brushing alone cannot deliver.

Prevention is quiet work. Done well, most patients never realize how much it saved them.

What it is

A professional cleaning removes the hardened plaque (tartar) that a toothbrush cannot reach, especially between teeth and along the gum line. A full dental exam checks your teeth, gums, bite, and soft tissues for early signs of decay, gum disease, oral cancer, and wear.

We use digital X-rays only when we truly need them to protect what we cannot see.

Who it helps

Every patient, from toddlers on their first visit to adults who want to keep their natural teeth for life. Especially important for patients with a history of cavities or gum disease, patients managing diabetes, pregnant patients, and anyone who has not been to a dentist in a while.

Questions

Frequently asked

How often should I come in?

Most patients do best with a cleaning and exam every six months. Some patients (higher cavity risk, gum disease, or certain health conditions) benefit from more frequent visits.

Do you always take X-rays?

No. We take X-rays only when they will change your care. Digital X-rays use very low doses and give us critical information between the teeth and below the gum line.

Will cleaning hurt?

For most patients, no. It usually feels like careful scraping and polishing. If gums are inflamed or teeth are sensitive, tell us and we will adjust.

What if it has been a long time since my last visit?

That is more common than you think. There is no lecture. We start fresh with an honest evaluation and a comfortable plan to get you back on track.

Does insurance cover cleanings?

Most dental insurance covers two preventive visits per year at or near one hundred percent. We will confirm your benefits before your visit.
