Veneers are one of the most requested cosmetic treatments we offer, and one of the most misunderstood. Done well, they do not look like veneers at all. They look like a healthy, well-cared-for version of your own teeth.

The secret is planning. We spend real time on shape, proportion, and color before the first veneer is ever made.

What it is

Porcelain veneers are thin, custom-crafted shells of dental ceramic bonded to the front surface of your teeth. They can change the color, length, width, and symmetry of a smile in ways that whitening or bonding alone cannot.

Modern veneers are extremely thin, which usually means less tooth structure has to be removed than in years past.

Who it helps

Patients with permanent staining that will not respond to whitening, chipped or worn front teeth, small gaps between the front teeth, teeth that look uneven in length, or older cosmetic work that no longer blends in. Veneers are also a common choice for a planned smile makeover before a wedding or major milestone.

The process

What to expect

  1. 1

    Design consultation

We take photos and impressions, then design your new smile with you. You approve the shape and color before anything is made.

  2. 2

    Preparation and temporaries

We gently prepare the front of the teeth and place natural-looking temporaries so you can preview the look and comfort of your final result.

  3. 3

    Bonding and refinement

Your custom porcelain veneers are bonded in place, polished, and adjusted for a comfortable bite and beautiful finish.

Questions

Frequently asked

Will my veneers look fake?

Not when they are designed and shaded carefully. We take time to match your existing teeth, lip line, and face shape so the result looks like you.

How many veneers will I need?

It depends on your smile. Some patients only need two on the front teeth. A full smile makeover typically involves six to ten.

Do veneers hurt?

The procedure itself is comfortable with local anesthetic. Some patients feel mild sensitivity for a few days after preparation, which fades quickly.

How do I care for veneers?

Brush and floss like normal, keep up with routine cleanings, and avoid using your teeth as tools. A night guard is often recommended if you grind.

Are veneers reversible?

Because a small amount of enamel is usually removed, veneers are considered a permanent restoration. That is why we plan them carefully with you before starting.
