Family dentistry is the everyday care that keeps mouths healthy through every stage of life. At Lakewood Dental, we look after toddlers taking their very first ride in the chair, busy parents squeezing in a cleaning between meetings, and grandparents who want their smile to feel comfortable for years to come.

When one welcoming team knows your family history, small changes get caught early and visits feel less like appointments and more like catching up with people who know you. Little ones are always welcome here.

What it is

Family dentistry brings preventive, diagnostic, and everyday restorative care together in one office. That includes routine exams, professional cleanings, sealants, fluoride, digital X-rays, cavity fillings, and honest advice on brushing and flossing at every age.

Because we treat kids and adults side by side, we can watch smiles develop over time and step in early when something needs attention.

Who it helps

Anyone who wants dependable, low-drama dental care in one place. Toddlers getting comfortable with the dentist. School-age kids learning healthy habits. Teenagers navigating braces or wisdom teeth. Adults staying on top of preventive care. Seniors wanting to keep their natural teeth as long as possible.

Nervous patients are welcome too. We move at your pace, explain everything before we do it, and never rush.

Little ones are welcome

Bring the whole crew. Our team is patient with wiggly toddlers and curious kids, and we love making a first visit feel like an adventure instead of an appointment.

Questions

Frequently asked

How young can my child start seeing the dentist?

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends a first visit by age one, or within six months of the first tooth. Early visits are short, friendly, and mostly about getting comfortable.

Can our whole family book on the same day?

Yes. We do this often. Give us a call and we will line up appointments back to back so one trip covers everyone.

How often should we come in?

Most patients do best with a cleaning and exam every six months. If you are managing gum disease or high cavity risk, we may recommend more frequent visits.

Do you take our insurance?

We work with most major PPO plans and file claims for you. Call us with your card handy and we will walk through your benefits.

What if my child is nervous?

That is completely normal. We use simple language, take breaks, and let kids explore the tools before we use them. Parents are welcome in the room.
